On June 12th 2004, Omaha Metalfest II took place at the Sokol Underground, 2234 S 13th St. where sixteen of the greatest local and regional heavy metal bands of the era, all representing various subgenres performed the event from 11AM until 1AM. Omaha Metalfest was a series of 4 metal festivals that occurred between the years of 2003-2007 and were produced, coordinated, and presented by Pitt Ripply, a local philanthropist dedicated to promoting and introducing underground Omaha music to the community as well as the rest of the world. The event was recorded by Rance Fredericksen and Jeff Fenn from Infinite Productions. All proceeds go towards funding a fifth Metalfest on the 20th anniversary (2023).
